Matthew 5:11 (NASB)  “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.

Beatitude #9 – the ninth step to blessedness is being ridiculed, pursued and slandered because of the name of Jesus.  The blessing is for Him to increase so that we might decrease.
